CrossFit Kids Introduction
CrossFit Kids is not merely a scaled down version of CrossFit. It is entirely and absolutely CrossFit, geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population.

Program Description
The CrossFit Kids program combines gymnastics, body weight callisthenics, and weight lifting elements to develop capacity across the 10 General Physical skills, cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, co-ordination, agility, balance and accuracy. There is additional focus on elements that encourage bone density and vestibular development. Children and Teens have the opportunity to maximise their physical skills when exposed to this stimulus during peak years of development, and the elements combined to keep children engaged and entertained, while teaching them proper movement mechanics and creating a broad athletic foundation.

“The family that trains together stays together” creates a community of like-minded individuals, and for our younger populations imitating their parents/care givers and through shared attention we can begin to instil that lifelong love of health and fitness through a FUN safe environment.
CrossFit Kids Waitakere is specifically designed for children aged 5 – 10yrs (Kids) and 11 – 15yrs (Teens) our programming aims to provide fitness training at age appropriate levels by developing strength and athletic ability through various methods of calisthenics, weight lifting, gymnastics and high intensity cardio.
Exercise has proven results that improves cognitive function and aid’s in brain development. By making fitness an everyday reality we can begin to see children honing their life skills of confidence, self belief and success across all aspects of their development.

CF Teens 11- 17yrs

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 4:30pm – 5:15pm

 

*during school term only (based on a 9wk term)

**commitment is based on 9wks attendance, not individual sessions throughout the term
