SOLID STRENGTH EQUIPMENT
Solid Strength Equipment has been supplying premium fitness equipment and accessories to gyms and fitness enthusiasts across New Zealand since 2009.
Founded by Paul Davies — owner of CrossFit Birkenhead, the third-ever CrossFit affiliate in New Zealand — Solid Strength Equipment grew out of a desire to provide CFB members with durable, high-quality equipment in daily workouts. It quickly became clear that gyms across the country shared this need — and today, we're a small-yet-passionate team of five, including Paul, an operations and logistics manager, an equipment rep, a graphic designer and brand manager, and a writer.
We work day in and day out to ensure that Solid Strength Equipment is able to provide commercial-quality gear at affordable prices for the vast network of customers who make up the SSE community — including CrossFit affiliates, weightlifting and powerlifting clubs, commercial fitness centres, schools, corporates, military organisations, and home gyms.
We test all our products at CrossFit Birkenhead before making them available to SSE customers across New Zealand, ensuring that we're providing the level of quality we hold ourselves to and that customers have come to expect from us. Much of our original equipment is still going strong at CFB after 12 years of commercial use, so you can rest assured it's built to take whatever you throw at it!
We pride ourselves on warm and efficient customer service that reflects the respect we have for our community, as well as on the constant improvement and evolution of our product offering so we can best cater to their needs.
We work primarily out of our warehouse in Birkdale on Auckland's North Shore and are more than happy to answer any questions you might have or to help you find the right equipment for your particular setup. Please get in touch here for anything you might need — and thank you for choosing Solid Strength Equipment! -

HAPAI TE HAUORA
Te Kura Manawa Taki refers to the rhythm of our breath, affirming our fundamental right to fresh air provided by Tāne, reaching back to Hine Ahuone. Tīhei Mauri Ora!.
Our work in tobacco control is our commitment to Te Kura Manawa Taki and supporting and creating environments where our whānau and mokopuna have access to quality air.
Tobacco control is not just a health imperative but a moral and societal responsibility. By working towards a Smokefree future, we address critical health disparities, protect mokopuna, and enhance our communities’ overall quality of life. The collective efforts of individuals, communities, and the sector are pivotal in making this vision a reality; for far too long, tobacco has inflicted harm on hapori.
Smoking is a leading cause of preventable illness and death globally, with far-reaching impacts on individual health, community well-being, and healthcare systems. The consequences of tobacco use are profound, contributing to a range of severe health issues, including cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses. Moreover, smoking exacerbates health inequities, disproportionately affecting Māori communities, resulting in widespread harm.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT COMPETITION
The Butterfly Effect began in 2016 as a female-only fitness competition, created to raise awareness about negative body image and eating disorders.
Over the years, we’ve seen the remarkable impact of women embracing our message to “Celebrate Your Body.” Today, The Butterfly Effect has grown into the world’s leading female-only fitness festival.
But we’re more than just a competition—we’re a global movement. Our mission is to unite women in a fitness community that celebrates what our bodies can do, rather than how they look. Together, we empower each other to redefine strength, confidence, and self-love
